Saudi club Al-Hilal has unveiled the jersey number that French star Karim Benzema will wear with the team in the upcoming period. This follows the official announcement of his signing from Al-Ittihad Jeddah, as part of the reinforcement deals in the current winter transfer market.
The official account of Al-Hilal confirmed Benzema’s addition to the ranks of “The Blue Wave” in a deal described as prominent, aiming to strengthen the team’s attacking power and support its competitive journey on both domestic and continental levels.
The club published new video clips showing Benzema alongside the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club Company, Prince Nawaf bin Saad, following his arrival in the capital, Riyadh. The French star held the team’s jersey bearing his name and the number 90, after the official completion of his transfer contracts.
Karim Benzema arrived in Riyadh on Tuesday to begin a new chapter in his football career with Al-Hilal, following the official termination of his contract with Al-Ittihad Jeddah. This move is notable among the activities of major clubs during the winter transfer period.
During his previous experience with Al-Ittihad Jeddah, Benzema participated in 21 matches across various competitions, playing 1,808 minutes, and successfully scored 16 goals, confirming his scoring presence and vast experience on the pitch.
Al-Hilal places great hopes on the experience of Benzema, a former Ballon d’Or winner, to lead the team’s frontline and achieve the expected addition in upcoming challenges. There is widespread fan interest and anticipation for his first appearance in the Al-Hilal jersey.
