Al-Ahli Tripoli achieved a resounding victory over Al-Khums with a score of five goals to two, in the match that brought them together as part of the Group One competitions for the eighth round of the Libyan Premier Football League, on Monday, in a match characterized by excitement and a flurry of goals.

The match witnessed the scoring of seven goals, as Al-Ahli Tripoli imposed its superiority from the first minutes and managed to open the scoring early through Faraj Ghaidan in the 8th minute, before his teammate Ismail Al-Tajouri missed a penalty kick in the 26th minute, which would have been enough to enhance the team’s lead.

Al-Khums succeeded in adjusting the score through their professional player Jan Balicki in the 43rd minute, but Al-Ahli Tripoli’s response was swift, as striker Azzo Al-Merimi managed to score the second goal in the 45th minute, ending the first half with Al-Ahli Tripoli leading by two goals to one.

In the second half, Al-Ahli Tripoli continued its control over the course of the match, with Abdullah Al-Arfi adding the third goal after a decisive pass from Hamdo Al-Houni, before Al-Houni created the fourth goal again, which was signed by Azzo Al-Merimi in the 64th minute.

Al-Khums reduced the deficit in the 73rd minute through Jan Balicki, scoring his second personal goal, but Al-Ahli Tripoli finally settled the confrontation in the 82nd minute when they were awarded a penalty kick, which Hamdo Al-Houni successfully converted, scoring the fifth goal.

With this victory, Al-Ahli Tripoli confirmed its lead in Group One, raising its tally to 22 points, while Al-Khums remained at its previous tally of 8 points after its loss in this round.
