The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced this Friday morning the arrest of the maid, Vicky Ajok, who holds Ugandan nationality, after investigations revealed her involvement in the killing of the actress Huda Shaarawi.
The Public Prosecutor in Damascus clarified that the accused confessed to committing the crime during the initial investigations, noting that investigations are still ongoing to uncover all the circumstances of the incident, in preparation for referring the file to the competent judiciary.
It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Artists Syndicate mourned, on Thursday, the actress Huda Shaarawi, famous for her role as “Umm Zaki” in the series “Bab al-Hara,” after she was found dead inside her home.

An informed source confirmed that the artist’s body was found on Thursday, and the relevant authorities immediately began the investigation.
It is noted that the funeral of the late artist was held this Friday afternoon, with the participation of a group of Syrian artists.
Huda Shaarawi is considered one of the prominent artistic faces in Syrian drama and achieved wide fame thanks to her distinctive characters that left a significant impact on the Arab audience.
