Ankara – January 30, 2026 – Turkish Minister of Defense Yasar Guler met on Friday with the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Government of National Unity, Major General Abdulsalam Al-Zoubi, at the Turkish Ministry of Defense headquarters in Ankara. They discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation in defense fields, including training and capacity building according to the agreements in force between the two countries. They also discussed exchanging technical expertise, strengthening institutional coordination between the two defense ministries, and reviewing areas of existing cooperation to serve common interests.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation to contribute to supporting stability and enhancing the capabilities of military institutions, in accordance with approved legal and official frameworks.
