Tripoli, January 27, 2026 – The President of the Supreme Council of State held a meeting today with the Council’s National Security Committee to discuss the issue of illegal immigration and the presence of foreign labor in the country without legal and health controls.

During the meeting, which was held at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, emphasis was placed on the necessity of developing a program with the relevant authorities, whether security, service, or regulatory, to curb illegal immigration in a way that ensures the country’s interests and eliminates crime.
