Dubai, January 26, 2026 – The Al-Ittihad team, representing Libyan basketball, suffered its second consecutive loss in the currently held Dubai International Championship in the United Arab Emirates, after falling to the Syrian Al-Wahda team with a score of 96–91. The match took place at the Al-Nasr Club hall.

The match saw a strong start for Al-Ittihad, which ended the first quarter leading 26–24, before continuing its dominance in the second quarter, which ended 19–17, concluding the first half in its favor with a score of 45–41.

In the second half, the Syrian Al-Wahda team came back strong, securing the third quarter in its favor with a score of 31–27, then continued its dominance in the fourth quarter, which ended 24–19, ultimately winning the match by a five-point margin.
