Benghazi, January 22, 2026 – Technical teams from the National Electrical Works Company, a supporting company of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energies, have begun implementing emergency maintenance work on power lines in the Al-Maqzaha area. This follows damage to the network caused by a storm that hit the region.
According to the official page of the Ministry of Electricity, the maintenance work included addressing all faults affecting electrical wires and overhead transformers. The technical teams conducted a comprehensive on-site assessment of the damage, replaced damaged components, and took the necessary technical measures to ensure the safety and stability of the network.
Thanks to continuous efforts and intensive work, the technical teams managed to resolve all faults in record time, in addition to energizing the Al-Maqzaha area line belonging to the Al-Abyar distribution circuit. This contributed to restoring electricity and stabilizing the service for citizens in the area, according to the same source.
This work comes within the framework of direct follow-up from the central emergency room and continuous coordination with supporting companies.
