The Norwegian team Bodoe/Glimt pulled off a major upset in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, defeating their guests Manchester City 3-1.

Remarkably, the team that beat City—a former champion of the tournament—had never achieved a single victory in the competition before. This win over the former European and English Premier League champion keeps the Norwegian team’s slim hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive.

Danish striker Kasper Hogh scored two quick goals in the middle of the first half, and Jens Petter Hauge added a spectacular third goal in the 58th minute, putting the club from the Arctic Circle on the path to a stunning victory.

City reduced the deficit with a goal scored by Riyad Mahrez after an hour of play, but captain Rodri was sent off two minutes later after receiving two consecutive yellow cards, frustrating their attempt at a comeback.

Before the rest of this round’s matches, City sits in fourth place in the 36-team standings with 13 points, while Bodoe occupies 26th place.
