Tripoli, January 19, 2026 – The AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases Department at the National Center for Disease Control has concluded a program to activate counseling offices and provide health services.

The center confirmed that this program aims to facilitate marriage procedures for individuals living with HIV (AIDS) and viral hepatitis in the cities of Benghazi and Derna.

It noted that this step comes within the framework of the National Center for Disease Control’s efforts to enhance the rights of those living with these conditions and enable them to marry according to approved medical procedures. The center affirmed it will continue working to equip counseling clinics to ensure health services reach various cities and regions across the country.
