Following the notable success of the first part of the Libyan series “Cousins,” the national drama is preparing to present the second part of the work. The first part of “Cousins” presented a social drama story, centered around a complex network of relationships within a single family, reflecting the social and psychological transformations of the female characters and their social environment, which achieved a wide resonance among the audience. The performance of the cast in the first season was balanced between authenticity and dramatic depth.

With the start of preparations for the second part, the production team announced the addition of a new group of actors who appeared in the promotional image for the new season, where seven actors in formal suits stand behind them, while three actresses stand in the foreground. The acting ensemble for the second part includes names featured in the official image of the work, which reflects the group’s spirit and the diversity of characters expected in the plot.

The second part is expected to continue expanding the drama initiated by the first season, introducing new narrative lines and more complex conflicts, enabling the work to intertwine human relationships and personal choices within the framework of contemporary Libyan society. The audience remains in anticipation of the announcement of the official broadcast schedule and details of the new characters that will appear in the work.

Libyan series

The “Libyan series” refers to television dramas produced in Libya, often reflecting the country’s social and political narratives. These series gained prominence in the late 20th century, particularly during the 1970s and 1980s, and have historically been used to explore themes of national identity, tradition, and societal change.

Cousins

“Cousins” is a small, unincorporated community in Walworth County, Wisconsin, USA, primarily known as its location for the Cousins Submarines corporate headquarters. Historically, the area was agricultural before the sub sandwich chain, founded in 1972, established its base there and gave the community its recognizable name.

Libyan society

Libyan society is rooted in a blend of Arab, Berber (Amazigh), and Mediterranean influences, with Islam playing a central role in its cultural and social norms. Its modern history has been heavily shaped by the 42-year rule of Muammar Gaddafi and the subsequent instability following the 2011 revolution, leading to a complex tribal and regional social fabric.
