Benghazi, January 6, 2025 – The head of the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee of the House of Representatives discussed today with the Greek Consul General to Libya ways to facilitate travel procedures between the two countries and address any issues that Libyan citizens may face during their travels.
During the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the House of Representatives in Benghazi, the two sides discussed mechanisms to enhance joint coordination between the two countries in the coming period, the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing issues of common interest, and contributing to supporting security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, the depth of the historical relations between Libya and the Republic of Greece, as a neighboring country, was praised, reaffirming the importance of Greece’s role in supporting the stability of Libya and the Mediterranean region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue joint coordination, which contributes to enhancing rapprochement and developing and strengthening trade and economic relations between Libya and Greece.
