Tripoli, January 5, 2026 – The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity announced the deportation of a group of illegal Nigerian migrants through Mitiga International Airport.

This action comes as part of the implementation of the national program supervised by the ministry to deport illegal migrants to their home countries.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed the continuation of deportation operations within a comprehensive plan aimed at addressing the issue of illegal migration and reducing the flow of migrants through Libyan territory, which contributes to preserving security and stability in the country.
