The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held the first meeting of its high-level preparatory committee to begin arrangements for hosting the fourth Turkey–Africa Partnership Summit.
The meeting focused on the overall framework for preparations, highlighting the political and diplomatic significance of the summit.
Officials described the event as a key milestone in the Turkey–Africa partnership, offering an opportunity to assess the outcomes of the third summit held in Istanbul in 2021 and to explore prospects for advancing cooperation in the coming phase.
Participants also reviewed an initial proposal for the committee’s working mechanism, covering political, substantive, and organisational aspects.
Emphasis was placed on early and systematic preparation, as well as coordination with relevant national institutions and regional and international partners, to ensure a successful summit in both content and outcomes.
It was stressed that efforts must be intensified in the period ahead and that work must be collective, in order to maximise the benefits from hosting what was described as an important continental event.
