The mother of young Aston Villa player Jamaludeen Aloba celebrated his Premier League debut in a very touching way.
Spanish manager Unai Emery brought Aloba on against Arsenal in the 82nd minute during the match held yesterday, Tuesday, at Villa Park for the 19th round of the Premier League.
Despite Aloba’s (19 years old) late substitution at a time when the score indicated Arsenal were leading by four clear goals, it did not stop the player’s mother, who is of Nigerian descent, from expressing her overwhelming joy and pride in her son.
A touching video spread on social media, in which the voice of Aloba’s mother could be heard loudly chanting her son’s name when he appeared on the television screen preparing to come onto the pitch.
The player’s mother said in a voice filled with joy and pride: “My son is making his debut, he will play for the first time, praise God. Praise God. Praise God, Lord of the worlds.”
The video also captured the joy of children present at the location, as two women appeared and the voice of a man repeating, “Praise God,” could be heard.
Aloba joined Aston Villa’s youth team in the summer of 2023, coming from West Bromwich Albion, and has represented the Villans’ under-18 and under-19 youth teams.
After more than two years, Aloba made his Premier League debut, and although the result was not favorable, it did not stop his mother from expressing her joy and pride in him.
