Arsenal will host Brighton tomorrow, Saturday, in a match that is part of the eighteenth round of the English Premier League. The home side seeks to strengthen their lead at the top of the Premier League table, while Manchester City continues to chase them closely.

Manchester City could temporarily move a point ahead of Arsenal at the top if they defeat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in a match that takes place before Arsenal’s game against Brighton.

Speaking ahead of the match, the Arsenal manager expressed his hope that history would not repeat itself when his team plays Brighton, following Declan Rice’s red card in last year’s match between the teams, which angered him greatly.

Last season, Rice was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for disrupting play. This occurred at a time when Arsenal were leading 1-0 before the controversial red card, but the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Regarding his view of tomorrow’s match, he said: “I remember that well, I was very angry about what happened and us finishing the match with ten men, so we hope something different happens next time.”

He added: “I think the rules are different now. We paid a high price for that, and we hope to stay away from that and finish the match with 11 players.”
