The price of a crate of eggs (containing 12 “sticks”) in wholesale markets in Tripoli jumped by 12% on Thursday, according to field monitoring by Al-Masar, recording 235 dinars per crate, compared to 210 dinars last Saturday.

In contrast, the price of eggs remained stable in retail shops at 21 dinars per stick, with slight variations from one area to another.
