Al-Siraj Publishing House is preparing to release the new short story collection “Who Jests with Uncle Mansour,” which will soon be available in Libyan bookstores, with distribution also planned across various countries worldwide.

The collection will be published in both print and electronic formats through the online store “Neelwafurat,” making it accessible to readers both inside and outside of Libya.

The texts of “Who Jests with Uncle Mansour” delve into the realms of memory and nostalgia, drawing inspiration from the lexicon of popular sentiment. The work evokes the concept of “Tibrah” as a symbol of inherent value and purity. It also reshapes the character of “Uncle Mansour” as an absent human presence, under whose shadow childhood, time, and deferred questions intersect.

The collection presents a contemplative narrative in a transparent language, seeking to touch upon the impact of people who inhabit memory despite their absence, remaining luminous in the heart, much like “Tibrah” remains gold even before it is forged.
