Damascus, December 24, 2025 — The Syrian Ministry of Defense expressed its sincere condolences to the Libyan Ministry of Defense on the death of Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad and his accompanying delegation, following the crash of a military aircraft in Turkey.
The Ministry stated in a release: We have followed with profound sorrow and grief the news of the crash of a Libyan military aircraft in the Republic of Turkey, which resulted in the death of the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army and his accompanying delegation.
The Ministry added in its statement: As it extends its condolences and sympathy to the Ministry of Defense in the sister state of Libya, it expresses its solidarity with the family of the deceased and the accompanying delegation, praying to God to envelop them in His vast mercy and to grant their families patience and solace.
