The first football team of Zamalek meets its counterpart, Smouha, in the third round of the Egypt Capital Cup tournament, in a match held at the Arab Contractors Stadium.

1- Time of the Zamalek vs Smouha match

The Zamalek and Smouha match takes place at eight o’clock this Thursday evening. The team enters the match in high spirits after winning their last match against Haras El-Hodood.

2- Referee for the Zamalek vs Smouha match

The match between Zamalek and Smouha will be officiated by referee Haitham Osman, assisted by Mohamed Said Sheka and Mohamed Abu Rahab as assistant referees. Mohamed Nasser Abbas will be the fourth official. Walid Naji will be the Video Assistant Referee, assisted by Ahmed Lotfy.

3- Zamalek’s group in the Egypt Capital Cup

Zamalek Club is in the third group alongside: ZED, Al-Masry Al-Port Said, Ismaily Electricity, Haras El-Hodood, and Smouha. Twenty-one clubs from the Premier League are participating in the Egypt Capital Cup this season, divided into three groups. The group winner and runner-up from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, along with the two best third-placed teams.

4- Zamalek’s results in the Egypt Capital Cup tournament

Zamalek defeated Haras El-Hodood two goals to one in the previous round. Before that, they drew 3-3 with Ismaily Electricity. The same round also saw Smouha draw with Al-Ittihad Alexandria without goals in the third group as well.

5- Zamalek absences against Smouha today

The technical staff of the Zamalek team is missing many players for the Smouha match for various reasons. The trio Ahmed Refaat, Abdullah El-Said, and Nabil Emad Donga are absent due to injury. Mahmoud Bentaieb is absent as he has permission due to his marriage. Saif Al-Jaziri is absent as he joined the Tunisia national team camp for the Africa Cup of Nations. Hossam Abdel Meguid, Mohamed Ismail, Mohamed Sobhi, Ahmed Fotouh, and Mohamed Shehata are absent as they are with the Egypt national team. Chico Banza is absent as he joined the Angola national team.

On the other side, the technical director of the Smouha first football team aims to surprise Zamalek in today’s Thursday match, in order to achieve a victory over them and secure the first three points in the group, taking advantage of the absences in the White Castle’s squad.
